Children's Beginner classes begin September 9, 2017 and end December 16, 2017. They take place every Saturday from 4 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.

Who should take this class?
Children between 6-13 years old, who have
No prior experience speaking, reading, writing, or listening to Vietnamese OR
Some experience speaking and listening to Vietnamese but have not been formally taught to read or write
What do students learn?
- How to ask and answer basic questions
- Vietnamese alphabet
- Telling time
- Days of the week
- Teamwork skills by participating in games and other joint activities
Meet your teacher, Uyên Nguyễn
Weeks 1-3: Tones, alphabet, spelling
Weeks 4-6: Numbers, animals, colors
Weeks 7-9: Dates, telling time
Weeks 10-12: Question words, semester review

Assessments will take the form of homework, quizzes and in-class games.
Class materials include handouts and worksheets provided by the teacher. Students are expected to bring their own writing supplies, including paper, pencils, erasers, etc.
